ENROLLMENT POLICY AND PROCEDURES
Who is eligible to attend Davis Aerospace Technical High School?
Davis Aerospace Technical High School is an application School-of-Choice within the Detroit Public Schools systems. We service high school students in grades 9-12 in both core subject
academics and career technical education from the City of Detroit and its neighboring suburban communities.
Students and parents who elect to attend Davis Aerospace must provide their
own transportation to and from the school site. For students who qualify, free bus cards may be issued through the Office of Transportation. Students may also purchase reduced bus cards to
assist with transportation.
HOW DO I APPLY
Students who are interested in attending Davis Aerospace must meet the following enrollment criteria and present the following
items at the time a student is enrolling:
- Have and maintain a cumulative 2.5 grade point average;
- Completed enrollment application;
- Transcripts/grades. An official transcript and most recent report card is necessary in order to complete enrollment and to schedule the child into appropriate classes;
- Proof of Birth. (birth certificates, U.S. Passport, or a permanent Resident Alien (green) card);
- Parent/guardian information. (Picture identification; Driver`s license, Michigan State I.D., or a Visa/Passport; and
- Immunization records.
- Special Needs students must attach a copy of their IEP to the application and receive departmental approval through the Office of Specialized Student Services.

ENROLLMENT CONTRACT:
All families at Davis Aerospace Technical High School must attend an orientation session and complete our enrollment contract. Our enrollment contract
outlines many of the policies and procedures that are requisite of our students, parents and staff to help ensure that our learning environment is one that fosters positive behavior, safety and
security, and a climate for continual learning.
