Local School and Community Organization (LSCO)
Join the LSCO
The Local School and Community Organization (LSCO) is designed as an open Parent Forum to discuss relevant issues relating to student achievement, curriculum, instruction, school safety, school improvement and other relative issues.
You are invited to attend the monthly LSCO Parent Forum, which is generally held the Fourth (4th) Monday of the month in the evening beginning at 5:00 PM in the school library. Upcoming meeting dates are:

- February 16
- March 23
- April 27
- May 18
- June 8
Family Service Hours Program
The Family Service Hours Program is designed to allow parents to volunteer time and talents to contribute towards our students’ education. It is a proven fact, that parents who are actively involved in the school, especially through volunteerism, see increased achievement from their student.
There are numerous opportunities to volunteer at school main office assistance, classroom support, Parents on Patrol-community radio patrol, field trip chaperones, tutoring, mentoring and a host of opportunities that support learning or perhaps you have a talent/hobby you would like to share or teach as an extracurricular activity (i.e. photography, book club, knitting, quilting, choir, art, etc).
We ask that parents donate a minimum of four hours supporting the educational endeavors at Davis Aerospace. Please know that every contribution of your time and talents, including your attendance at LSCO meetings, and parent/teacher conferences, helps each of our learning community members from the students to adults feel valued.
PARENT UNIVERSITY
PARENT UNIVERSITY is a series of workshop events designed specifically for parents to help them learn more in-depth about the curriculum content students are learning in the classroom. The workshop aims to provide parents with strategies that will allow them to support students with daily and homework assignments. The series also offers self-improvement topics such as basic computer usage, resume writing, job search techniques and much more.
